Refund Policy — DekhLaw

1. Payment Structure

DekhLaw operates a two-part payment structure: Lawyer Consultation Fee — paid directly by the user to the lawyer's designated account (DekhLaw does not collect this fee); and Platform Facilitation Fee — charged separately by DekhLaw for technology infrastructure. Both are separately itemised on your invoice with applicable GST.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be granted only where: the consultation was not conducted due to a DekhLaw platform failure; the lawyer did not respond or was unavailable at the scheduled time; a duplicate payment was made due to a platform error; payment was deducted but the service request failed due to a platform error; or a lawyer is found to have misrepresented their Bar Council enrollment.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued where: the user fails to attend the scheduled consultation; the user is dissatisfied with the quality of legal advice from a duly enrolled lawyer; the consultation has been completed; the user cancels after the consultation has commenced; or the user's own device or internet connection caused a connection failure.

4. Refund Process

To request a refund, email grievance@dekhlaw.com within 7 days of the relevant event with your transaction reference number and description of the issue. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
